Do you have the Kindle app & the Nook app?
Do you know which one has the *shelves* to store/show your books by any chance?
Hope we'll see you here again :)

Hugs...My Kindle Fire books front page has book covers sitting on shelves so you can see the books that way. Is that what you mean by the "shelves"?? I don't know what the Nook looks like.

yes, the next generation is the one that doesn't work.

the fire does so much more it's like a little computer. i can get online although we have not been able to get that to work yet.

i have some music on there and pictures of the family. there are also game apps and i downloaded a few of them.

Ellen...I was able to get online to iVillage on my Fire and to our board. When I typed in my heading in the Subject line, that went well. When I then clicked in the message box of the Body to type my message, it bounced me back up to the Subject line. I didn't try to do a reply, though, only tried to create a new thread. Maybe just a reply will work. I'll try that later.

The app is called iReadItNow. It had a good rating and was free. It's fine for entering in the books that I'm currently reading, just wish there was an easy way to enter in all the ones I've read in the past. It helps me to keep track of my favorite authors.

Thanks hugss! I have the Kindle app, had the Nook app on my phone so it's probably on the iPad now. I didn't find much use for it, so haven't looked to see if it synced it's way over to the iPad.

iBooks is the only app I can think of that looks like a library shelf. Is that what you are thinking of?

Does anyone find that the readers are dangerous - money wise? It's just too darn easy to purchase a new book! I really have to watch myself before I end up spending a ton of money.

Yes it is the ibooks that has the shelve .. um what goes there?
When you d/l a book did it go to your Kindle app?
Or better yet .. how?
I only have one book so far I have d/l .. must it be a finished book to go on the shlf?
And .. on my son's ipad when he was reading a book it was rwo sided if that makes sense?
Is it suppose to be or just one sided?
