If I download a book from Amazon, it will show up on the Kindle App. Below the "Buy now with 1-Click" button, you'll see an option below it that will say where to deliver it to. I have it set up for my iPad. I can't remember how I got my iPad registered with my account, I think it's with the "register a new kindle" on that same drop down box. After I click on the buy button, when into my kindle app the book appears. It's like magic! Am I the only one that still gets amazed by this technology?

If I purchase a book from iBooks (which is the iTunes version for books), then they will download there. You don't have to be finished reading a book to download more of them. I've purchased several at a time. There are also free books available on iBooks, mostly classics. I've downloaded some Jane Austen and Charles Dickens that I would like to read someday. I also downloaded most of the Anne of Green Gables series ;) In the top left corner above the bookshelf there is an option for Store. Just click on that and go from there. I'm sure you already have an iTunes account, it uses the info from there to make the purchase so it will ask you for your password.

The books can either be read one page, or double sided, it all depends on how you hold the iPad. If it's vertical, you get one page, if you make it horizontal you'll get the double sided. That can be a bit of pain when I'm lying in bed and have it between the two, it keeps swapping back and forth if I move a little. I do like that I have a stand for my iPad so if I'm eating lunch, I can prop it up in front of me.

Do you have the Kindle app & the Nook app?
Do you know which one has the *shelves* to store/show your books by any chance?
Hope we'll see you here again :)

Hugs...My Kindle Fire books front page has book covers sitting on shelves so you can see the books that way. Is that what you mean by the "shelves"?? I don't know what the Nook looks like.

Does anyone find that the readers are dangerous - money wise? It's just too darn easy to purchase a new book! I really have to watch myself before I end up spending a ton of money.

Yes, indeed, it could get that way if you allowed it!! My husband only reads free books on his and I only have one downloaded so far and I did pay for it, but I'll go for the free ones too after this. I haven't had my Kindle Fire very long and have several paper books to read, so I'm not using my Fire much yet.
