donna,
they live kinda in a hole here and the wifi connection is not that great. takes quite awhile before the books download. maybe when i get home i will be able to get online better.
i looked in the kindle app store and i didn't see it. darn would have loved to have it. thanks anyway.
i have bought very few. i look for the freebies and there are plenty of them.
You mean the ireaditnow right Ellen?
Try putting it in your Kindle browser .. I *think* that is where I found it
If I purchase a book from iBooks (which is the iTunes version for books), then they will download there. You don't have to be finished reading a book to download more of them. I've purchased several at a time. There are also free books available on iBooks, mostly classics. I've downloaded some Jane Austen and Charles Dickens that I would like to read someday. I also downloaded most of the Anne of Green Gables series ;) In the top left corner above the bookshelf there is an option for Store. Just click on that and go from there. I'm sure you already have an iTunes account, it uses the info from there to make the purchase so it will ask you for your password.
The books can either be read one page, or double sided, it all depends on how you hold the iPad. If it's vertical, you get one page, if you make it horizontal you'll get the double sided. That can be a bit of pain when I'm lying in bed and have it between the two, it keeps swapping back and forth if I move a little. I do like that I have a stand for my iPad so if I'm eating lunch, I can prop it up in front of me.
Yes, indeed, it could get that way if you allowed it!! My husband only reads free books on his and I only have one downloaded so far and I did pay for it, but I'll go for the free ones too after this. I haven't had my Kindle Fire very long and have several paper books to read, so I'm not using my Fire much yet.
