Our weekend was pretty good! DH and Parker went up to the mountains to DH's parents' property and they all camped there. Andrew is gone with his bio-dad, so Emma & I stayed home with the dogs.
We watched "Finding Neverland" and "National Treasure", both great movies! Then we went up to the property for Father's Day and had fun up there.
Both DH & I are exhausted, lol and it's only the beginning of the week!
It was a nice weekend. We went to our dd's yesterday and had a nice brunch and sat around just chatting. Nice and relaxed.
The weather over the weekend was great. Not too hot, and sunny.
The weekend was very busy - On Friday night, H and I went out with a friend for dinner - very fun. On Sat I had one of my dd's friends' help me do a lot of yard work. Yesterday H worked on the deck he's building around the pool (it looks amazing!) and I did some major spring cleaning stuff like clean out the laundry room and strip, mop and wax the floors. I tried to fix our dishwasher, but I wasn't able to. Oh well, paper plates here we come!
For father's day. we bought H this charcoal grill he's been eyeing for a while - he absolutely loves it! And my 17dd bought him a bag of Hershey's kisses and made him a banana cream pie. She wrote him a beautiful note inside the card - brought me to tears, her message was so lovely....just stuff about how special he is and what a HUGE part he's played in helping her to become the person she is today. All this for a stepdad - who could ask for more than that? 15dd did nothing and didn't even wish him a happy father's day, but she's feeling very persecuted lately. Oh well, I am happy that at least one of the girls made H feel very special and loved.
It was nice and busy.
The weather was perfect.
