we dont talk with that much of an accent here...well most of us. The saskatchewan one is just like how we talk here. the expressions are about the same.
you wear wool caps ...we wear toques
you have ponds....we have sloughs
you drink soda ....we have pop.
the pil they are asking for is pilsner beer. the canadian ...is canadian beer
Now I know what your accent sounds like. The more pronounced one sounds like Minnesota.
Thank you for translating, was going to ask what "pil" means!!
Really fun seeing that stuff, thanks for posting it!!
I think I am finally over the stomach flu but DH caught something on Saturday and is currently resting at home. I have avoided him but I caught whatever from him and am a few days behind him. As long as I keep warm drinks on my throat and don't talk a lot, I am okay. I just hope he does not go out tonight as he normally does on Tuesday even if he is feeling better. That would be pulling a Sunny as he says; If I'm sick and feel the slightest bit better, I push myself and it just makes me worse. I hope he stays home to watch NCIS with me!
We did see 2 movies this past weekend...will have to post in the other thread about them.
