here is the story...

we went shopping yesterday. Dh spotted dress shirts that came with ties and matching hanky. They were in his size and a very nice blue. they were boxed and 7 dollars. so i say get two. He say...in his " i am not half deaf and am speaking at what i believe to be a normal level" voice.... I think i am old enought to make a decision on my own. I only need one shirt for the wedding. i say they are only 7 dollars...get too so if you spill a drink, supper, or anything else happens you can go to the rv and change.

Now grant owns no dress shirts. the ones he had he donated

I don't necessarily have issues with dressing DH. Sometimes I give him the side eye on what he wears to church (t-shirts with, while funny, I don't think it's exactly appropriate for church, sayings like "Oooops, I forgot I'm talking stupid" or something like that) but I don't really fret over it.

I do have a hard time getting him to think before hand on important events, like a job interview. I usually have to start preparing my outfit days in advance because I usually have to go shopping. He had a job interview one day in June about an hour away. Did he pick anything out before hand? Yes and no. He knew what he wanted to wear but just would NOT try them on to see if they still fit. Did they fit? No. 2 hours before he had to be at his job interview we were at Men's Wearhouse picking him out a different shirt. The man there was so kind (they always are) and they even ironed his shirt and had him ready to go. That would stress the living crap out of me is I was in that position.

If we were in your shoes, I would have just bought the extra shirt and packed it *just in case* without telling him. Or I would have told him, he may grumble but would be thankful that you think ahead. I pack a lot of things *just in case*.

my dh is a jeans man. he wears shorts in the summer. he too loves the tshirt. i usually let it be, what will it harm. He will wear a nice shirt(t will collar ») to some things.

I would have been i a state if my dh had nothing to wear to a job intervier at the last minite. my dh is famous that we are going out the door almost and he says...do you have time to fix this or that so i can wear it. well why didnt you tell me when it happened.

I can see i will be packing a lot more stuff than he will know about. there will also be the ...why are you taking so many shoes fight. love that one!
