I hope your day is going well.
I was referred to Ivillage by a friend. We were both pregnant at the same time except she was due in August. She was visiting the August EC club and that peaked my interest into my own expecting board.
I have been a member since probably the summer or spring of 2004.
Heather brought me along with a whole group of ladies to this board. She was our "scout." lol.
I think I've been a member since around 2000, but back then I posted on the Raising Girls board and PreTeens Board mostly. Then I began exploring and found many other boards to post on that were directly related to other aspects of my like at the time. I posted on the Marriage board for a while, but at some point the environment on that board became very Christian, so I left. I liked it better when everything was more light hearted and marital issues were discussed more openly; I (and others) began feeling like we had to walk on eggshells. I have since learned that they've created a Christian Marriage board so I've been back to the marriage board a few times. I found this board about a year ago in the hopes of focusing more on myself rather than everyone else in my life. I love the co-posters here and the upbeat attitudes as well as the support when I need it. I also post on the Parents of Teens board and I've been checking out the College board as well.
I think iVillage has a lot of diversity and interesting boards to read and post to.
I found IV when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter and I was looking for a due date. I found the "Sept 2004 expecting club". I was also part of the "pregnant and single" board, because at the time I was seperated from my husband, and also a part of the "Married but Seperated" board. I have also been part of the "Working and Pumping" board. Heather found this board for us, and now I mostly post here and sometimes I'll go to the Sept 04 playgroup.
My mood today is
