When you have a lot on your mind and need to sort things out, what do you do or where do you go?

LOL, I have a routine! Drive through Starbucks for coffee, drive and drink it, walk around the mall/Kohl's/Super Target/a baby resale shop (sometimes ALL of the above, lol) and shop, shop, shop! By the time I get home, I'm feeling much better! (I've noticed I tend to overspend by a LOT and always end up having things to return, but I guess it's OK---as long as it actually gets returned!)

I have a number of ways to handle things: read a book, watch a movie, write a pen pal, take a bath, talk a walk, cry, call someone. If things are really bad then I go to my mom's for a few days.

Hi,
I do several different things as well. Most of the time I will take a long walk, read a book or curl up in my bedroom chair and just cry. I have to sort it out and let it out or it just builds and builds!!

I will first vent to a friend or bounce an idea off of one of them just to see if I'm off base or on track in my response. Growing up I was never sure if I was experiencing appropriate responses, and so as a result, I need to have assurance that I'm reacting appropriately. I've gotten way better over the years but sometimes I still need that reassurance from a good friend or sister I can trust wholeheartedly.

I also sometimes get on the computer and take it all out on the computer - log my feelings or thoughts and just type away till I feel like I've thought it all out or found a resolution.

Walking by myself is also great for thinking about things, especially if I'm feeling angry or overwhelmed - a fast paced walk really helps me to sort out my feelings and center myself and my reactions to certain events.

Usually I just sulk and cry. If I need to just forget the problem for awhile, I'll read. And if I'm really angry about something, I usually clean. I should get out and walk when I have a problem because that usually helps me, but I just never think to do it.

Well if I have a problem that I need to solve but seems to be to think about I like to write about it.

If I'm really upset, I cry it out.

See now, the one thing I can't do is read when I have too much on my mind.
