Bummer on the allergies, Can you take something for them ? Great to hear about neighbor .. maybe home soon :)
My DD1 is cancer free!! That's all that matters, no whines, none at all!!!
She got an ovarian cyst a couple of years ago and had no insurance. She is a single mom and didn't have enough hours at work to be insured and was unsuccessful at finding a second job and even if she had found a second job, she probably wouldn't be able to afford to buy insurance. Pathetic as it sounds, in this country, if you are uninsured, you can go to reduced cost clinics, but if you need expensive testing or chemo therapy, you die. We paid for an MRI for her and other testing. She was put on medication and a "wait and see". She needed to get the cyst removed as it was precancerous and the counts were rising, but she couldn't take off work long enough for surgery and recuperation as if she didn't work, she didn't get paid. She was also in pain. If things had gotten worse, we would have had to sell our house, given up our retirement investments and become homeless to keep her alive. I was worried for her life and ours. We do okay, but we are by no means wealthy.
Anyway, she recently got routinely tested again and it was found that the cyst is shrinking and she is 100% cancer free and pre-cancerous free and her counts are normal!!! I am so grateful, so thankful, so relieved!!!
