WooHoos....My two youngest grandloves will be here tomorrow and Friday due to school being closed again, this time for parent - teacher conferences. I'm going to take them shopping with me to buy Valentine decorations for the inside of my house.

I did our taxes last night and we are getting about a third of what I thought we would be getting :( It's a good thing we aren't getting much back because that means we aren't giving the government an interest free loan but we were going to put the money towards my student loan.
The people closest to me in proximity at work are in a really gritchy mood and while I'm not high on positivity (I'm still somewhat asleep), I'm trying to tune them out.
ETA: 1.) I'm starting to feel invisible in my circle of friends.

Whine/Woohoo- DH's grandmother was sent to the hospital last week and she wasn't doing so well but now she is and she's talking to people when she wouldn't talk to anyone last week. DH still has not been able to talk to her and she wasn't wanting to see anyone either so DH didn't want to visit. They (DH's family) also called him within a reasonable amount of time this go 'round (the next day)- last year MIL had told everyone we had been called but we actually hadn't been so we found out 4-5 days later and she wasn't expected to make it through the first and then the consecutive nights so that pissed me off that MIL would be so cruel because she was mad at DH. They had planned the funeral (she made it, thankfully) so that's how serious she was last year. I'm happy she is doing much better and hope that DH is allowed to talk to her soon.
Woohoo- I was able to keep something on my stomach last night and I hope this sticks.
DH broke his skates this week so he's going to buy new ones, nice ones. If he does a package deal, he will not choose blue skates (or really any other color besides black or white) because it costs extra money. Once he places his order, I'm going to try to call the place and see if they will switch the color and I'll pay for it so it will be a surprise for DH.
Bummer on the tax return but that is a good way to look at it Glad she is doing better, whew!
Did you feel any aftershocks from the earthquake? DH could feel them when Oklahoma City had their earthquakes last year and it freaked him out so much.
