Diana...I've been reading up on all that's been happening lately with you and your son. Goodness, what a roller coaster ride you've been on!! Thank goodness for your case worker!! I hope and pray that your son stays there and continues to get the help he needs. I wish the best for you all!
Thanks Karyn, much appreciated - that part of town where there are a lot of homeless and the center there that serves bkft & lunch - undesireables hang out there, get in fights - he can stay away from that at the center at least till 3 pm.
I'm SOOOO grateful my caseworker was here too.
Turns out tho that he didn't know how to ask for the help and he got a run around from several operators and finally gave up.
He plans (right now) on going to the hosp. after meeting with another caseworker tomorrow.
I did pick him up and bring him on a couple errands and then came home for awhile.
But he did go back without complaint.
That shelter - there are problems - some staff are rude. Also they made him put down my address as the last time he lived somewhere for 3 months - Not here, only two nights. It could get me in trouble with my housing sitution.
Also they did not search him and the head guy said what he did was his business - like drugs - he's trying to stay away but there are people offering - has to be hard!
