I could use a hot choc and lots of sugar "timbits".... my boys are having a hard time getting into school cuz it is not what they want to do...they have better things to do (xbox, cars, and friends) whatever boys but until you can do this stuff on your own get your butts to school !! my oldest is going to an ALP (adult learning program) where he can get his gr 12 ...high school is tooo confusing for him...give him his work and he will get it done...not these 10 questions and lots of notes to "study" I honestly do not know how the teachers teaches cuz the teachers are "lazy" (if I can use that word) they do not give much homework...the kids are given time at the end of the class to "finish" their work...when I was in high school the teachers showed us no mercy....there was lots of homework and no room for screw ups... my other son is also a bright smart boy but if he is not interested then forget it ....it is like pulling teeth to get him to go to school and I am not going to scream at him all morning, every morning to get up for school...I have enough to deal with in the mornings...in a way my son is "bored" with school and I do not know how to help him with this. He already dropped out for a year cuz he was shy and did not know any of the kids but decided to go back to school and get him started on his education but now he is getting close to exams for the term and and and....I really do not know what to do anymore...We are living in a small town so there is not motivation for education and to do "better" but I have told my boys that if they want to do anything besides flipping burgers they need to get their gr 12 and then go for their "trade", you cannot get your trade without the gr 12...listen to your mother !! on the woo hoo side....its sunny,...

Hi Susan,
You are right that they need to finish school for a trade ..
Where is DAd stand in all this?
Good news is they are in their last semester before graduation right?

dad is "too busy" doing nothing and expecting lots of things from the kids.....how do they know what to do if you do not get in their lives??? he works all day, comes home and sits on his butt and plays xbox or a game where he tunes out til bed time and then wonders why the kids do not talk to him about anything...if he has something to say he is usually yelling at them and expects them to "jump" ...it is frustrating for me cuz I am trying to do my part but I can't....in all honesty if I could go back "home" I would in a heartbeat....I am so not liking this house/town we are in....very small town, crappy town, crappy school, and small town attitudes, just let me out of here !!! I will keep after my son when he gets up from his sleep which I hope is soon.... Susan

Not right he puts this all on you like that.
They are his kids too you know ..
When he gets home before he plays his *games* ..
Tell him he needs to get more involved with the kids ::shaking head::
I wish you could go back as well ::sigh::
Do keep after the older boys as much as you can :)
