Nice going for your 17 more. Took me a yr to get 14 off and the next 8 or 9 months to get another 14 off. I had to push myself.
Have a good week with grchildren.

I went very slowly for 2½ years, too, lost 15 and then maintained.
Once I got started on this, though, there was no stopping me!!   ...when one is anxious to lose , it seems slow I suppose that is the best way. my swh brother did it in about 7 months but the next 4 gained it back. My sons friend did the same thru a school and gained it all back and more.  Me I lost those what I wanted to lose and want to keep them off too. Glad there is no stopping you.

That's very common for people to lose a lot of weight and then return to their former way of eating and gain it all back plus more. There are women in my TOPS group who have done that and some are doing it right now! Even our last year's queen has gained it back again and wasn't able to show up for this year's convention because of regaining her weight again! Really sad. I've done that myself a few times in past years. Now that I know how to maintain, though, being that I did so for the past two years, I know how to not gain it back again. So glad we've both figured this out Aileen!!

oh yes on the figuring things out by ourselves. to keep going with this and not go back is on us. I do not think my swh brother intends to lose . Everytime i go out to eat i just cut it half and that is my portion and take home the rest. My son does the same thing. we do not feel stuffed at all.

That's what I'm trying to get my husband to get used to, only eating half and taking the rest home with us. I keep trying and he keeps stuffing himself to the point of being really uncomfortable!! Fortunately, he only needs to lose about 8 lbs. Still, though, this is a bad habit!! I'll keep trying though and one of these days he'll catch on! ::sigh::

yes on that ...not much to lose. well then he has to walk more I suppose. He loves his food. My neighbor does that . she hates to cut the amount and hates to exercise. she will only do what needs to be done for a certain time for walking a day and eats the same. ....so she is not losing anything really.
