Hi Shannon! I'm Amanda, also 23 and also a SAHM to DD who will be 3 in April. My DH will be 25 this Sept. I love the movies Spirited Away and Eternal Sunshine..., LOTR (we , the dorks that we are, had a all day extended edition movie marathon of them two weeks ago. It was fun, but we laughed at ourselves for doing it) and funny enough Steve(dh) and I were just talking about Romancing the Stone the other day. It's another great movie.

Anyway...now that I've rambled on( I do that sometimes) Welcome and it's nice to meet you! Check out my profile sometime for more info on me if you'd like. We too would love to but a house some day. With his job, we don't know where we'll end up tho, so it's kinda hard. I'm looking forward to getting to know you better!

Rats are good pets. They dont bite, unless you stick your fingers through or up to the cage bars. They may accidently nip your fingers too if your trying to feed them a tiny peice of food. But they arent mean. They are easy to care for as well. But they are VERY social animals... and really want attention. So being on your shoulder or in the hood of a sweat-shirt makes them really happy. They do poop alot, like all small animals... rabbits, hamsters etc. But its pretty easy to clean up. If you ever decide to get one... be sure to get a female. And never mix male and female... you will have a TON of babies. :) Also go to Petsmart. All their rats are females and breed just to be pets, not snake food. They are checked by the vets before even being put up for sale, and they even have a refund thing, if you decide you dont like it within 15 days. They have very short lives though... about a year or two. A very long rat life is 3 years... so its not even a huge commitment. But they are good pets. :)
