Haha - I have a ring that my now H gave me about 11 years ago. I was moving out of state and we were only seeing each other about a year. He gave me a jewelry box and when I opened it I gasped. He immediately said, "That ring means nothing." I just started to laugh. I gasped because it was such an unusual and beautiful ring. It had little tiny braided hearts and little tiny begets (sp?). I didn't even comprehend it as anything more than just a beautiful gift, but apparently he was afraid I'd think it was an engagement ring or something! LOLOLOL!!!

So, the ring that 'means nothing' is the ring that means the most to me!!

What a great story! I swear you guys' relationship could be a movie. lol.

My two favorites are a Claddagh necklace dh gave me on our wedding day and a necklace with pearls and a gold cross that I got for my first communion. The pearls are starting to look blue though. :(

Hi Kathie, I have earrings I like to wear. They are gold. I also have a cat pin DH gave me in 91. Other then that I do not wear much jewelry. Rings are not allowed where I work due to safety issues. I have seen them get caught in things. Necklaces can cause a person to get burned when being around hot foods. So I can see the wisdom in not wearing them to work. I do have a cocktail ring for special occasions.

Why are the pearls starting to look gray? I have a string of pearls (that I almost never wear). Is it the oils in your skin that make them turn or is it age? I'd like to know in case I ever start wearing mine more often. I may take them with me on our cruise - they'd go nice with a new sundress.

well, I'm pretty sure they are fake pearls, for one thing. So if yours are real, I wouldn't worry about it. But I would guess it's just age that are making mine change color because I probably only wear it a few times a year.

My mood today is
