Yes I use them. I have one in here in my work room..Its one that Ellen gave me when we met back in Nov...Its of wolfs!!
I have one in the kitchen..Gary bought it for me...its of wolfs..LOL
I usually have one in there from Rocky Mt. Nat. Pk but for some reason I didn't buy one this yr when we were up there.
We have two wall calendars at home: one in the kitchen that DMIL made many years ago; it is quilted and each month has a theme-appropriate picture (flag for July, tree for December, etc); every year I make the month inserts for it.
Downstairs in the office, I have a calendar of Oregon beach scenes. I found it while on vacation last summer.

I use the real estate agent's wall calendar for my menu planning, so it hangs on the side of the cupboard opposite the fridge.
