Hi Kathie - How's things going? Better I hope.

What's up in your life today? I am recovering from the flu from Friday that turned into Bronchitis (better than pneumonia!). I get so winded and tired from almost no exersion whatsoever, it stinks. I'm hacking like crazy, my sides hurt and my back went back out again this morning, so my view on the world this AM isn't so peachy - lol!

What are the good things happening? We're still excited about my 18dd being accepted into the college of her choice and the paperwork is overwhelming, but I'm confident that we'll have everything in order and she will be happy there. My 16dd's bf is very cute - he made her a valentine card yesterday and his mother helped him bake dd cookies. Very adorable. They went to a nice italian restaurant for dinner and the staff seated them in a giant, round, very plush booth (seats 10!). It must have looked so cute. Wish I had a snapshot of that.

What about the bad? Well, the whole flu/back thing again but I really don't want to whine about it!

What has you worried this week? I am getting a little worried about some hefty financial issues we will have this coming Spring and Summer. Our pool partially collapsed in late summer and so we have to repair the damage and replace the liner and water by June 12th (in time for 18dd's graduation party, not to mention that expense in and of itself); we have that cruise coming up and while most everything is paid for, you know we'll spend a lot of money on just doing excursions and stuff, so I'm trying to budget those expenses; I will need to lay down a chunk of 18dd's college tuition in mid-July and then again in mid-September and I'm just hoping that we get the financing (and/or scholarships) she needs because the FAFSA didn't yield much; I ralized last night that my 16dd will need a little car by next January because her bussing situation at school will change in her 2nd semester of her senior year and it's so far out of town that I can't drive her back and forth...but that's not immediate.

It's funny, I used to be a real worry wort about stuff, but this past year has really made me see that things work out. You have to do what you have to do, and everything usually just has a way of falling into place or working out in a way that perhaps is different than you expected but better overall.

Have a great day!
