Thank you for continued prayers! We all know the importance of prayer, but when you're in the midst of a crisis, you know even more so!

Today's update...Wednesday...They shut off the cranial shunt and if it continues to hold at 18-20 pressure on it's own, they'll do surgery tomorrow to fuse our granddaughter's skull to her neck at the back of her head. Tomorrow..praying that tomorrow will be the big day!! Even though this will be scary, it is what we've been waiting for as the next step towards recovery.

Wonderful gift today...she opened her eyes for a bit and recognized her mom's voice!! Praise God from whom all blessings flow!!! Amazing that this happened while she is being kept in a drug induced coma!! That gives such hope!!

Will be back tomorrow with another update and I so hope it will include the surgery!! After surgery, they will slowly awaken her. I don't know how many days that will take.

As for my sweet husband, he stayed home again today and I went on to the hospital without him as he still has a chest cold. He'll stay home tomorrow too. We took him to his family doc this morning. If his cold gets worse, she'll put him on an antibiotic. She did give him a breathing treatment as there was some wheezing in his lungs. He seems a bit better this evening and there's no more fever, so I think he's on the mend.
