anybody have plans you want to share???
No plans, really. Hoping to catch up on sleep, need to clean, etc. The usual weekend house stuff. This is the weekend for peak or near peak foliage in our area & nearby. Would be nice to take a drive somewhere. But we can't saturday & it's supposed to rain on sunday & get colder. Hurricaine Sandy's coming our way so sun-tues we will be affected by rain & high winds, then more rain after. Possibly the whole week, plus cooler temps. So it's probably a good idea to stay home on sunday. Maybe bake another nutella brownie (super yum :))
Oh, goodness, I hope the storm doesn't get too bad!! Are you in NJ? I have lots of family in NJ and am praying for no damage!! Nutella Brownie?? Ohhh..I can't even think about it!! LOL
Donna, I"m in NY. It's supposed to be pretty bad. Worse than Irene last year, which turned out not to be as bad as they predicted here, but they're saying this one will be worse - more flooding & high sustained winds. that one wasn't a wind event, this one will be. There are mandatory evacuations, they're predicting the worst, family wants to leave. I want to stay, but i'm outvoted. So im packing. Public; transportation stopped running at 7 pm, schools are closed tomorrow, nyse is closed, etc. I hope it's not gonna be as bad as they say, but I guess we shouldn't take any chances. NJ is preparing for the worst, too. Chris Christie has been having press conferences since yesterday, urging people to heed the warning, evacuate where necessary & stay home in other places. AC is evacuated & boarded up. Hope your family's ok. Are they leaving?
Oh, no more nutella brownies for me for the time being. I was planning on making chicken soup, etc., defrosted the chicken, now it's back in the freezer. I'm hoping we dont lose power. I have both the freezer & fridge full of food. We did additional produce shopping yesterday & dh got more today. Hate to see it go to waste.
Well, gotta go finish packing & putting things away. Hope everybody stays safe.
LUDAM...Oh, gosh, so scary!! I think that if I was living there, I'd be evacuating and heading inland too!! As far as I know, my NJ family members are not leaving. I've been keeping up with evacuations through the tv weather channel. Saw where Atlantic City is closed up. A cousin said he & his wife are out of milk and can't find any as stores are selling out of all important items. Crackers, bread, peanut butter, apples and water would be my staples. I could live on that for a good while. I so hope you don't lose any of those foods in your fridge and freezer!! Weather Channel just said it's the biggest storm of our lifetime!! OMG!!! I'm praying for all of you in the storms path!! God bless!!
