I'm reading The Decendants by Kaui Hart Hemmings. I'm trying to get it finished before we go see the movie version in the theater. I don't know how much longer it will be in the theaters here, so I'm reading more often and only have a few more chapters to go. George Clooney won Best Actor from his role in it from the Golden Globes awards. It also won Best Picture Drama. It's also nominated for best picture for the Academy Awards and GC is nominated as best actor.

It takes place in Hawaii partly on Kauai where husband and I spent our honeymoon. Some of the places mentioned in the book are where we stayed and spent time while there. It will be so fun to see it again on the big theater screen!

I still watch almost no tv, just nothing on worth my time. Now, after saying that, you'll be wondering why I'm watching The Bachelor for that is a total waste of time!! It's only because of the fun discussion we're having on it. I also like Army Wives and the new season begins in March, so not watching it yet. I'm also still faithful to my soap of 41 years, Days Of Our Lives, although I only see it about two or three times a week.

Yesterday we went to see Mission Impossible at the movie theater. It was a fast paced fun action flick! I don't always like those types of films, but this was a good one. Parts of it took place in Dubai and Mumbai and it was fun seeing the extraordinary architecture there.

The wife is in a coma from a boating accident and it looks like the whole book clear to the end will be about that and how people react to it. I like the book okay, but I don't LIKE it. I thought it would be more about his Hawaiian roots and decendants stories. I'm not learning much from it, it's just a story. The movie is getting rave reviews and from my real life friends, too, who have seen it. I'm looking forward to seeing Kauai on the movie screen where we honeymooned. I'll finish it this weekend. If the movie is still in the theater tomorrow, I'll know it will be there next week and we will go see it one day next week.

When I get the book in (was thinking it would be today or tomorrow), I will be reading "Hotel Street" or something like that. It's for book club. I also plan on reading "Extremely Close and Incredibly Loud" or whatever that new movie is with Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock (?). The wait for the 2nd book is ridiculous at every library I have access to and I can't get it on audio either so I don't know if I want to buy it or not. We will see.

As for what I'm watching...the back and forth with new and repeats is driving me crazy. Anyone else? I haven't 'given up' on my shows but I find myself losing interest sadly :(

My shows are (from Sunday to Saturday, lol): Once Upon a Time, Desperate Housewives (mainly because they are in their last season), How I Met Your Mother, 2 Broke Girls, Two and a Half Men, Mike and Molly, NCIS, Parenthood, Last Man Standing (the show is not super fabulous but I enjoy Tim Allen and it does give me the giggles some times), Are You There, Chelsea?, One Tree Hill (I was an avid fan in the beginning but haven't watched the last few seasons- I figure I should watch since it's the last season ever and I watch it if I catch it), The Middle, The Office, Big Bang Theory and Grey's Anatomy. DH watched Fringe on Friday nights and nothing on Saturday's, really.

Holy crap that is a lot. My only must watch shows are NCIS, Parenthood, The Middle, The Office and Once Upon a Time. The rest I enjoy watching if I can. Thankfully we have a DVR so we fast forward through a lot.
