We are doing things a little different than everyone else here so here is what we have going on:

Hanukkah breakfast on Sunday: so far all I have is Overnight Bananas Fosters French Toast. We will probably have turkey bacon and turkey sausage and Mimosa's (need to go buy the booze and OJ) probably some fruit and who knows what else.

We don't know when we will be doing our dinner but here is the menu so far: latkes, beer braised brisket, Basmati Pilaf with Vermicelli and Onions, sweet potato casserole (just had to throw that in there!!) and I don't know what else.

Foods sound yummy!

DH will be tackling the latkes so while we do have the potatoes that need to be used, I don't have a clue what he will be doing. Typically he would take the easy way out but this time, I don't have know if he will or not.

I have two partial menus:

Friday night (dinner with DH): Chicken wellington - we kept hearing about it on the cooking shows so decided to give it a try, sweet potatoes with bourbon and dried apricots - didn't have it at Thanksgiving and it's SO good, not sure what else but I'm sure DH will come up with some great ideas.

Christmas Dinner: Ham, homemade bread, DH still hasn't decided on a dessert, DSIL is bringing scalloped potatoes, DMIL is bringing a veggie, one aunt is bringing salad and the other is bringing an appetizer. It's nice when everyone chips in like that!
