I'm just starting to learn about this. Does it work to ripen the cervix? I'm pretty desperate because I found out yesterday that if labor doesn't start on it's own, I'll have to have another c/s.Last time I never dilated, even with cervadil.

How much do you take and how do you take it?

You can take 3 capsules a day, but they recommend you start at 34 weeks. I stated at 37 weeks and it helps, but who knows what the outcome would have been if I didn't take it. The best form is vaginally. You just insert a tablet and it gets absorbed. It won't speed anything up or put you in labor. I'm 2 days away from my due date so theres your proof lol

I've used this for 2 pregnancies, for it to even work at all you have to already be softening and dilating. You take 1 capsule by mouth in the AM and one at night and starting around 36 weeks one vaginally inserted at night.

It is one of those things that who knows if it really does anything at all. I took it for a few weeks but now I stopped. I took it during my last pregnancy from 36 weeks to 42 weeks and I still had the cervix of steel for the last few days of my pregnancy.
