This is always a big debate on EC's! If you have a boy will you circumcise him or not?

I left it up to DH with our son. He is not so neither is DS, and if LO is a boy he won't be either.

We are goign to not coircumcise our boys. There is not medical reason for it.

I'm on the other end of the boat. If we have a boy he will be circumcised. My DH is and a son would be too.

Same here. My DH and son are both cut, this one would be, too, if it's a boy.

Since there is no evidence of medical benefits, no harder to wash an intact boy than a nonintact boy and the procedure comes down to purely cosmetic- We will leave our son (if we have one) intact. Plus, We have a hard time with knowing that the foreskin has over 20,000 nerve endings in it and is the most sensitive area of the males body for enjoying sex (which is why it became popular in the US- to stop boys from masterbating... not that it was effective). My husband is circumcised and we have no problem with them not being a matching pair. My DH feels comfortable and confident that our son will understand when he explains that our parents didnt have as much info as we did and thought they were doing best but now that we know more- we do better for our kids and let them come home whole.

Really? I didn't know it was used to stop boys from masturbating but then I know very little about this since this has been a non issue for me and Jay.

DS is not and if LO is a boy he will not be cut. Never saw a reason if it was not medically necessary.

We went back and forth on this with Isaac but in the end I followed my gut and left him intact.
