Been contracting all day

Well this is all new to me :) with my other 2 labors, they progressed from weaker, to stronger-closer together contractions, AND i had sex during it and BOOM my kids came hrs later.
Well today I woke up and from 6:45-9:45 had real contractions (painful, hard stomach, hitting a peak of pain--then subsiding...) every 10 min for 3 hrs. then they went to once every hr until 5pm now they are 1/2 hr apart. sigh.... wonky uterus! lol
I know its def early labor, but ive heard tales of this going on for days even, so cross your fingers i can get a good night's sleep tonight and rejuvinate for tomorrow! :)
Oh and DH has been working all day or we would have DTD to get things moving :))

Well nothing yet. :) Contracted all night once an hr or so and have only had a handful of them today. I have swirled around on my medicine ball a few times, hoping that brings her down further? Appt tomorrow morning at 10:40 so maybe my midwife will ck me to see if all those contractions dialated me at all :) I'll KUP
