Bloody Noses

It's already starting...I've had at least one bloody nose a day for the last 4 days! Of course the time of year doesn't help matters either. Lately they've started while I'm playing with or changing DD. I got them a lot last time I was pregnant but I thought it was more in my 3rd trimester. Anyone else dealing with this lovely symptom?

Not here, but I hate those. I hope they stop occurring. :(

I got them more with my last pregnancy than this one but I do get them occasionally. I agree, this time of year does not help at all.

Oh that really sucks! I don't get where the blood actually drips out of my nose but I do get where everytime I blow my nose it looks like I have scabs in there or something.

Thankfully not yet. I had them a lot with my first pregnancy, not as many last time, and only had a bit of pink streaking in my kleenex occasionally so far this time. Does saline spray help at all? I am trying to think of ways to moisten the inside of the nose.

Do you have a humidifier? You could try boiling a pot of water for a few hours. That helps put moisture in the air....if it's a moisture issue.

I think I'm going to have to put a humidifier in our room and hopefully it will help. I normally get a couple this time of year anyways but nothing like this. They let up for 2 days but then I got 2 this morning. I'm not a fan of spraying anything up my nose. I'll have to ask my OB at my next appt if they're still as frequent.

Vitamin E is great for moisturizing the inside of your nose. When I was a kid my nose used to get really dry and crack inside, so my mom would prick a vitamin e capsule with a pin and have me rub it inside my nose. It worked wonders!
