Labor pain/contractions question

Does all labor pain hurt your back? When I was in labor with my DS, it was a lot of back pain too. But, I'm wondering if he was posterior and that's why? I'm just curious if I start getting "back labor" again this time if that means this baby is not properly positioned or if back pain just comes along with all contractions.

For me, I had back pain but not PAIN with all of them except this one. I had back PAIN this time. And Levi came properly positioned, just really fast. I don't know if there is a connection or some other factor but I don't think it's always relevant to baby's position.

A posterior baby will usually lead to way more back pain in labour. I haven't had a posterior baby so I haven't experienced that but when I had contractions they barely hurt my back at all... the pain was more concentrated in my lower abdomen and pelvic region.

Hmmm. My posterior baby didn't cause me to have back pain in labor, but my anterior one did a bit ( not super intense, but it was there ). I think it's just all about different pregnancies. The nurse told me the other day that girls are usually worse for back labor and I'd never heard that before.

I had one labor where baby was positioned normal and my last one he was facing up so back labor and it was WAY worse than the regular way.

I never experienced any back pain while in labor. I'm guessing it would have to do with the baby's position as well as the fact that every women's different?
