Ligament pain: wowzers.

This is my third pregnancy, so you'd think the ligament pain wouldn't be too bad. For the last week I've felt a twinge here and there when I roll over too quickly or something like that. Last night I actually woke up with ligament pain (I suppose from the way I was laying--I can NOT stay on my side and always wake up on my back) and tonight it is bugging me again. How is everyone else faring?

At night it is awful for me whenever I have to move. Sometimes I forget and move too quickly and then I am in so much pain that I end up wide awake and can't get back to sleep.

Isn't that crazy? I thought it was supposed to be less painful after the first pregnancy. My second wasn't this bad. My first was awful, I would wake up in the morning and end up curled up in a ball in such pain they thought I had appendicitis! Even had a CT scan to make sure.

I never had ligament pain with DS, but with this one: ouch!!! It comes on very quickly and always while I am trying to sleep. I thought I was going to die at first. But, I am trying to move slower and not so stretched out when getting out of bed.

I feel fortunate: I never had it with DD, and, as far as I know, haven't had it with this pregnancy. And from the way you describe the pain, it sounds like I'd know! Knock on wood it isn't still headed my way...

I had a little with DD, but nothing too painful at all. It's really bad this time around. It's mainly right around my hip on my right side. Even if I try to be careful rolling over, the pain still shocks me. I think this little guy is sitting much lower than DD, so the kicks and punches don't help.

I have been lucky and haven't really had any ligament pain but the lower back pain is enough to make up for it. I am like you I always end up waking up laying on my back-so hard to sleep on my side. Sorry you are having so much pain.

I guess I should be thankful it's not happening when I sleep.
