Staypuft Marshmellow everything....ugh!

So, in continuation of the swollen feet conversation, that was kind of scary for me last night. I've had swollen feet from being on them and having them swell a little at the end of the day. But last night, man were they huge! It's like my feet and ankles doubled in size, my calves did, too! I ended up calling the advice nurse at L&D and she ran down the list of questions to check for pre-e. The only thing odd was the swelling, nothing else. She told me to take a warm shower and get my feet elevated. That did work by this morning, but my feet were jiggly while I was walking around. What a funky feeling!

So, right now, my feet feel like they're swelling again, my fingers and hands are swollen, and I noticed that I'm having a slightly hard time focusing my vision. I wear glasses and I've had them off and on through the day, but I'm noticing that looking away from my computer monitor to something I have posted to the side is causing havoc on focus. I do this often with no problem, so it is catching me off guard a bit. I'm at the point right now that I want to walk the few blocks to the nearest CVS and check my blood pressure.

Maybe I'm being a bit too sensitive and freaking about the little things that really are okay. But, I'm coming up on 35 weeks and I just don't want anything to go wrong.

Yeah that seems a bit excessive. I would want to get checked out if I were you

they say if your hands and face swell as well as the feet and your vision changes to get checked ASAP. I hope you're ok!

I'm doing ok. BP was 143/79. Nurse on call said it should be ok. Vision issues were very slight and stopped after about half an hour. I attribute it to being tired. Feet swelling is back down.

Sounds more like you are collecting water then anything else, here you would get a tablet that makes you pee and I mean pee like a river.

That's what I felt like, for sure. This morning after an actual restful night's sleep, I feel a lot better. But I do feel like it's just a water retention thing. My BP was high on one side, but the other was still under pre-hypertension and it was at a local pharmacy, meaning their machine may not be calibrated. I hope I don't have to take a water pill...as if I need any more pills to take. I already take six in the morning and one when I wake up with another to take in the event of constipation (colace). No more pills! But, this morning I am feeling okay. I plan to keep my feet up at work (I even have offers to use other people's chairs) and see how it goes.

I'm glad the BP issue looks like it is probably okay. I'd certainly rather be safe than sorry--especially when it comes to pre-e. I literally had no symptoms of it the one time I had it severely except for high BP and starting to turn blue a bit. It can creep up on you. That stinks to be that swollen though! I'm also swelling more on one side. My right side is retaining more water for some reason. It isn't as bad as what you're saying, but my hands feel very puffy to me (I usually have itty bitty skinny hands regardless of how chunky elsewhere). Anyone out there still able to wear rings? lol
