Hi all,
I'm almost 42 and have been trying for no2 for 2.5 years--almost a year of Clomid cycles, 2 fresh and 1 frozen IVF, most of which were bfn's, but 3 were 1st trimester losses (plus 2 from before DD as well). I'm a reproductive mess! haha Anyway, I was ready to move to donor egg because I want a second child so badly and was so tired of being 'beaten up' with treatments and losses, but DH wanted to do another round of IVF first, in October. However, here we are pg naturally which has only happened ONE other time, in 6 years of no BC and trying!
So, I'm shocked and excited, but also very apprehensive. Even without my history, my age and my PCOS diagnosis means that the odds are not with me, but we are really, really hoping that this our 'miracle' story. (I have 3 friends who had struggled for years with infertility and went on to have 'oops', wonderful surprise babies so I know it does happen).
I am approx 6 weeks tomorrow, at a guess, and my u/s is Friday. My betas were all lower-end normal but did double so this is something that is an improvement upon my last 3 pregnancies/losses.
I hope to report back good news on Friday. Fingers crossed!

I'm 41.. I got my surprise BFP when I had just turned 41. When I hit 40 I told myself this was the last year I would try.. and go figure the month after my B'day I got a big ol positive surprise of Triplets!! ...omg.. shock.
I understand the scared feelings. I had 3 prior losses that really did devistate me. I was so hopeful. Then I had my DD, and for the past 6yrs we had been TTC with no luck.
Trust me when I say it does happen! ..and here's a heap of ****HAPPY HEALTHY POSITIVE PREGNANCY VIBES**** coming your way.

Onesunnydee, I read your story earlier and almost dropped my jaw-taht is a wonderful, inspiring story! I love hearing that!
My symptoms (not many) seem to disappear in the am (as of yesterday and today), but then at night, the heavy bbs and bloating returned, for the most part. I am trying to tell myself this is normal, but it's so hard to have faith after experiencing those losses. Your story gives me hope! Thanks for sharing!
Congrats on your BFP! Keep in mind that pregnancy symptoms come and go early on. Sending you sticky vibes!
I need that reminder, thanks! My mind can play such tricks on me so it's good to hear some rational input to counteract it-haha!
Wannabe - Congrats and good luck on your u/s. I always love it when someone that has endured years of infertily crap gets a freebe. Hope this is a sticky one.
I ended up going to DE to finally get my miracle.. it took hubby a lot longer to agree on donor eggs then it did for me. I endured 2 IVF cycles just to prove to him that my eggs just wouldn't work. Now when he gets drunk he goes on and on how grateful he is that i went through so much to give him our little boy.

I am so nervous I could be sick (i neber get ms but due to nerves, I may get some!). My DH is so hopeful and I get hopeful, too, but the devastating memory of how often it doesn't work out for me sends me for a loop all throughout the day/night. Accupuncture (twice this week!) and listening to meditations is keeping me from being a total lunatic-haha
I so hope I'm back here later reporting gd news.. F/x!
