I am done having babies after this one is born. I don't want to be on b/c because I suck at remembering to take it and I really just don't want to be bothered with it as I want something permenant

Oh, I'm done, for certain. But, I'm going to get another Mirena IUD (didn't get pregnant with it and I had it for 6 years, plus it made my periods much lighter). Tubal ligation isn't 100% and the risk of ectopic for me is just too high, and I'd never consider a hysterectomy at my age (though I do hope for early onset menopause, LOL).

We are so very done. My man is getting a vasectomy. The way he sees it, I pushed out 4 babies, he can get a little in and out snip. All his friends did it anyway ;)

I friend just had a baby. She had the Essure procedure done...before this baby!

My mother had a hysterectomy when I was born via c/section. It really is up to you, your wants, what your doctor says, etc.

I'm totally done! My plan is to have my tubes tied during the c/s. I have heard several horror stories too, but I think the rewards out way the risks. Good luck with your decision, I think it's something that you should definitely talk to your doctor about and find out what is best for you.

Really? Wow! I had never heard of a Catholic Hospital refusing to perform a tubal ligation. I would consider getting a different doctor and going to a different hospital. Your choice, obviously.

Well, it's just that he's already given me 2 very successful c-sects, so I trust him.

We are done. Although we're not so done, that I want to do anything perminent yet. If one of us were to get a huge pay raise of some sort where were were suddenly in much better financial shape, then maybe we'd have #3... but I don't expect that to happen. If there's been no change in our financial situation in 5 years, DH is willing to get a vasectomy.
