Anyone else feeling those first little hollow yet heavy nudges from baby? There is no mistaking that feeling. I am on cloud 999 over here when I feel those sweet little movements.

I think so, but everything I've read says it's gas bubbles, that you can't feel baby this soon.

Are you due Aug 5th btw? I am, and I think by your ticker that's when you're due. It's actually my birthday...

Nothing yet, but I'm not even out of my first trimester yet. That is my most favorite part of being pregnant. I love love love feeling that little baby move around in there. Precious!

Not yet, but I expect it soon....I felt it with my other 2 at 11 weeks.

I'm not sure! I felt Baby #1 at 17 weeks. I think I feel flutters from time to time, but I really can't tell if it's truly that or just gas!

This is absolutely not gas! Once you've felt this feeling, this hollow heaviness (not kicks!) it is unmistakeable!

Yes, I'm due Aug 5 or so. That's also my firstborn's birthday. :)

I swear I have felt a few but I still find it hard to believe since it is still pretty small at 10 weeks and 3 days

My midwife actually asked me today if I'd felt anything, and actually, over the past 2-3 days, when I ate something sugary (sorbet, ice cream, a rice crispy bar), I felt little flutters about 5 min later, on and off, then they were gone. She laughed and said that it might be that I'm feeling the baby, although 13 weeks is a little early. I'll take it! I'm not even showing yet, so it's a fun little secret to have (since most people around me don't know).

You know, I have felt something now and again for the past couple weeks. I wait for the obvious gas signs, and they don't come with this particular feeling. But, I'm skeptical about it (as I am with so many things, LOL). Baby is just so tiny and free-floating in there. Just doesn't seem possible, and yet feels unlike normal goings-on. I cannot wait until I know without a doubt that it's the baby. :)

For us, baby is 3 inches. A BTDT mom can absolutely distinguish that feeling. Here's my description for those first baby nudges:

It's like moving your hand hard and fast through water: a displacement. A small internal displacement that's both utterly foreign and intrinsically part of me.

It really is a different kind of feeling. :)

And, to clarify -- I'm only skeptical about this in reference to me. If anyone else is feeling movement, I certainly don't doubt it. :)
