Awww thanks for asking, Brie! Today is my last Monday commuting to work (working from home next week) - I am sooo done with this stupid commute (almost 1.5 hours each way). I was up every hour last night to go to the bathroom. I am freaking out that I won't recognize the contractions and end up having a baby on the subway. Everyone tells me that they're not as intense as the first time because of all the BH. My Mom is coming back from Europe tonight - I am so excited. As of next Wednesday she will be back in Boston available to stay with my daughter so I can go have this baby :smileyhappy:

Have my checkup this Wednesday, I wonder if I'm more dilated than last week (I was 2 cm 50%).

Brie - my backup plan is complete chaos :smileyvery-happy: We'd drop Jules off at my father-in-law and then my husband would pick her up after I deliver and stay home with her until my Mom comes back. I don't want him staying in the hospital with me anyway - last time he snored so bad I almost filed for divorce and he also asked me if I could 'scoot a little bit' on my hospital bed (he's 6'6" so the cot he was on was waaay too small for him).

I'm shooting for 8/14 - I'll be 39 weeks, and it's St. Maximilian Day and the baby's name is (most likely) Max, so that would be perfect!

I'm good, I've got everything lined up for the kiddos I have a plan A and a plan B for day time or night time labor so we're squared away there.

I have my 37 week appointment tomorrow. They'll do my first cervical check so I'll know if I'm dialated at all (not that it means a whole lot) but I'm super curious.

I've been having these HORRIBLE sharp pains in the cervix for the past few days. It feels like the baby is trying to claw his/her way out. Hurts SO bad. Not sure exactly what it is but I know it hurts.

I'm feeling ready. Taking care of the girls is hard work. I just feel so big that all I want to do is sit and with a 6, 4 and 2 year old, there isn't a lot of sitting.

Today I tripped over one of Lydia's toys and fell straight on my belly. Last week I was at the park with them and I tripped in a hole and twisted my ankle. Nothing serious, but it just demonstrates that I am SERIOUSLY clumbsy and off ballance. I feel like a big fat clutz.

I'm just hoping this baby comes a little early. He or she already feels so big.

Oh Gosh Chelsey, did you call your doctor to let them know that you fell on your belly? I would...

And I hear ya with the jamming in the cervix - I could swear I sometimes even hear (or feel) the baby's skull rubbing against my pelvic bones. Like 2 hard surfaces, you know? If he's ready and I'm ready - why can't we just get it over with haha.

My friggin sciatica pain is pissing me off, seriously. It's making it difficult to function quite often, I can't get up and walk around my own house, and occasionally, its so bad I can't even use the restroom. I'm seriously considering asking about getting induced at my next appointment. Its Tues and my EDD is Sat, so its not like he'd be really early. I only feel a little bad about that, mostly because I'm worried that it would nix my plans for an other wise natural birth.

Other than that, doing good. DH wanted me to be in labor this morning so he didn't have to go to work, lol. His vacation hours just reset on the 3rd, so he's got 2 wks again and is getting a little burnt out at work. He won't take the full 2 wks, but he will take a few days once the baby's here.

We're almost there ladies!! I'm feeling ok, I actually painted a big canvas last nght that I've had lying around for a year or so, it's going up over the love seat in the living room! It felt good to paint again, i haven't in so long, but now that I'm on mat leave i have the time and have to keep myself busy! Next on the list is to put the car seat together and install it. I'm also looking forward to going to our local pool this week for some relaxing swims (er, floats :smileytongue:).
Just trying to take it easy and wait for baby to be ready!
Hang in there ladies! We're on the home stretch!!! Eeee!!

I'm doing good - still feel like it's so far away even though it's only 3 (or less) weeks! I'm having a hard time staying nice though haha. It doesn't matter where I go it's constant comments and I know it isn't meant to be rude at all but I get so sick of answering the same questions over and over. I wish I didn't have to leave my house for the next few weeks, however that's not going to be possible because I'm a teacher and will start school back up next week and then students come on the 20th. I'll be working as long as possible so the comments will really be awful then. Oh well...I can do this!

I didn't call the doc because I have felt the baby move fine, no contractions, no bleeding, and I've felt fine. I think baby is okay. :-)

I'm ready to get it over with too!!

Some days are more comfortable than others and so far, today is a better day. Plus I've just had a bagel and some tea - so I'm doing pretty good today!

Spice - I totally get the work commute thing!  Mine is only an hour, but I walk 8 blocks each way - which is getting much harder now!  I have 2 weeks & 2 days left - so about 11 work days left - and I am working at least 4 of those at home - but it is just getting so tiring!

But generally, I still feel pretty good.  Tired & some days - must be position of the baby - seems like more pressure down so makes it harder to get comfortable.  But 2 weeks and 2 days!  I keep the countdown going - reminds me that really - that's no time at all!

Part of me wants to go a little early b/c I am so excited, but if I don't go on a Thursday, I wouldn't get my doc that I am planning on.  And although I like the other docs fine in the practice, this doc delivered both my girls, so I'd like it if she delivered this one too - plus I know/trust her the most.  As of my Friday appt - there was absolutely nothing going on "down there" - and I've never been one to progress - pretty much at all! - so I'm thinking my odds of going early are probably slim anyhow!

Been nesting - so although I'd like to do some more, I'm even in decent shape at home.  Dragged out and sorted through all baby stuff.  Even got the Pack n Play basinett set up and ready!  Washed everything that needed it, etc.  So, that is all getting me more excited as well!

Horrible :smileyindifferent: I'm so ready to get this over with. They just started me on insulin shots yesterday, baby has been failing his NSTs, I have appts. 3x/week with little to no help with the 4 other children, baby is sunny side up, so I'm having some major back pain, not to mention at 34 1/2 weeks he measured 7 lb 2 oz and I measure 42 weeks prego right now, so he's huge and making me uncomfortable, I'm having contractions...need I complain anymore LOL. Like I said I'm ready for this to be over and right now 1-2 weeks sounds like an enternity!
