I'd never realized the Boppy was considered a maternity pillow. I'd only heard of it used as a nursing aid (and not a recommended one in the breastfeeding class I took with DS). I never needed any pillows while I was pregnant with DS, I did use my regular body pillows to get the right angle for lying down nursing after he was born though.
I had a really nice body pillow (sleep number brand) that I used quite a bit before I got pg with #1, and I can't recommend some sort of body pillow enough (mine is about 4 feet long, supportive, but squishy all at the same time)! By the end, I had the body pillow, my head pillow, and like two other support pillows. I actually took my body pillow to the hospital and used it A LOT during labor for various positions. I also used it a lot after, because you can bend it and mush it however you need to for support and comfort.
I prefer the My Breast Friend brand of nursing pillows, gonna get me one this time around. Should have gotten on last time, I might have had more success nursing. But I'll look at that link a little later, my coffee just beeped :)
I have never owned one, but I hear good things about the boppy maternity pillow.

Boppy actually makes a few different maternity pillows, as well as their regular nursing pillow (which I couldn't live without FYI!)
Than
That's my recommendation!
