I am on zoloft as well and my doctor said she is comfortable keeping me on it. She said it is one of the few anti-depressants that have had very few issues for preggo moms.

I'm on lexapro and was for my last pregnancy as well, until the third tri, when lexapro poses the greatest risk to baby. I weaned down to 2.5mg in the first tri, maintained at that and then stopped at 28w. This time, I hope to stop sooner. I'm going to try taking 10000mu of vitamin D which helps fight depression, and see if that helps with the wean.

I would definitely talk to your doctor about it.

I take 100 mg of Zoloft. I took it my entire last pregnancy as well as the entire time I breast fed (about 10 months). My doctor's exact words were, "If I thought that this had a chance to hurt your baby, I promise I wouldn't let you take it." It made me feel more comfortable. I have horrible extremely intense PPD and I am SO glad I took Zoloft throughout the pregnancy, the PPD was far less and it we a lot better for me and baby in the long run IMO. With all that said, for your own peace of mind you should run it by your doc ASAP. Hope that helps!

I had pretty bad ppd with Owen and have been on and off anti-depressants ever since. I stopped taking the last one just before finding out I was pregnant, it wasn't working out very well- I couldn't sleep at night. That being said, I have definitely been down lately, and going through a separation is making it worse. I have been told by one doctor that I can and maybe should start an anti-depressant, but another two that I should wait until baby is born. That makes it tough. I am going to try to get through the second trimester without anything, but consider introducing something in the third trimester, the thought of having ppd again, being single with 2 kids, terrifies me.
