I have been
Jenn (28) & DH Zach (28)
I've slacked off the last two weeks due to a crazy work schedule and the holidays, but I'm a gym regular. I work out about 4 times a week and go to group fitness classes, like Turbo Kick, Body Attack, Body Pump and Spin. I worked out through 8 months with my last pregnancy (started dilating at 8 months, so needed to ease up). I hope to do the same this time around. I'm planning on going back to the gym for the first time in two weeks tomorrow morning for a Body Pump class. I've been super tired lately due to the pregnancy, but usually have my most energy first thing in the morning - so that's the time I try to get to the gym. I love bouncing and jumping around in my cardio classes. Can't wait to see how it goes this pregnancy! Working out really makes me feel good. In fact, I think it helps with the queasiness of the first tri. I have had more nausea the last two weeks... and I think a big part of that has been a lack of my workout time lately. I also hope to limit weight gain. I think I gained 35 lbs last time around... I'd like to stay closer to 25 lbs this time.
This is my 3rd pregnancy and with my first two I was a workout nut.
Oh Wow you ladies are making me feel guilty. I loathe gyms, and since I've never had a weight problem I've just never bothered.
I make myself go because I always feel better after I do.
I have to say that the 1st trimester fatigue is pretty tough to
Before I got pregnant I would do martial arts 2 times per week plus gym or elliptical in my garage.
I tend to find that the days I exercise I have more energy. I really shouldn't act like a workout hero thought, cause I'm not. i've been sick with a cold all week and no gym time, no energy at all. But when I'm just my normal 1st tri self, I find working out in the morning is better for me because late afternoon and evening I'm pretty exhausted.
