I always heard that pregnancy makes a woman horny, but ever since we conceived I have no sex drive at all. Honestly, I'd rather go to the dentist. Poor hubby is trying to be understanding, but it's obviously difficult for him. I'm almost 9 weeks. Any advice? My Mom said I would feel more like it in the 2nd trimester.

I've heard the same thing your mom said- that it gets much better in the second trimester- I've heard a lot of women say they had the best sex of their life in their second trimester. I don't have sex drive either, but since I'm not EXTREMELY sick with M/S, I give my hubby what he wants at least once a week so I don't feel bad!

The 2nd Trimester gets so much better! I have to say the best sex I've ever had was when I was pregnant. We had sex right up until the day before both of my girls were born......sorry if this is too much information. I'm honestly looking forward to feeling better so we can resume regular sex. Best of luck to you all.

My advice is to have sex anyway. I'm with you in that I'm not particularly amorous, but once we start, I'm good to go. We have always had a very active sex life, so it doesn't seem fair for me to hold out now. And, truly, the best sex ever is when I'm pregnant. It's good now, but I cannot wait until I actually IN the mood. LOL.

You're not alone! I feel so nauseous and tired that I'm in no mood. My husband is very understanding. With my last pregnancy, I started feeling up to it again close to and in the second trimester. I never had that "best sex ever" that some people talk about during pregnancy... but maybe it will happen this time around.

I never had this best ever sex either while pregnant. In fact I typically can't wait until I give birth so we can get back into having good sex LOL. I guess everyone's bodies are different. I am also not in the mood, but neither is my hubby. We'd both rather sleep, but we also have 3 little ones already, he works long hours, and I am a student...and the further I get in pregnancy the more my belly gets in the way and stomach cramps kill me. Sometimes I don't think the O is worth the pain :(

THat is me exactly...I have ZERO sex drive at all. I think it returns the 2nd trimester. It is hard to want to be intimate when you feel like crap constantly.

I know how you feel. When I'm pregnant my dh always is a little stand offish during pregnancy. It is heartbreaking becuase I'm overly emotional and I'm sure it's because I look disgusting or something even though he swears it doesn't have anything to do with that. Ugh, it's annoying.
