Accidentally posted this in folder below.....

I had my first appointment yesterday. I had an u/s which confirmed that I have a low laying placenta. Oh boy!

I had a low lying with my first, and I think as long as it's not actually over the cervix, there shouldn't be a problem.

I had a myriad of issues with my 3rd, placental placement being one. It corrected itself, though. I don't think it's altogether uncommon for it to be low early on and then move to its ideal position.

I'm sure they'll keep an eye on it. Do keep us posted.

It's common this early in pregnancy. They'll probably continue to watch and monitor it but most times it moves up on it's own with no problems. It can cause you to need to be on bedrest if you get too far along and it is still low, and can result in needing a c - section, but don't fret. You've got a long time for things to change. :-)
