Induction set for Wednesday 8/1

Have to be at the hospital at 5:30 am.
My stats have not changed. Still 4cm, 60% effaced, -3 station. She just won't budge. BP fine, her heart rate was 141, and I lost 2 pounds (not even sure how that happened). Good appt, very quick. No more appointments for me! YAY!
One week at the most. SO EXCITED!!!

I think it's partly due to my age (42), that I've not given birth in 12 years, and that my two term babies were almost 9 pounds. None of these things really make it necessary per se, but honestly, I am so ready to have this girl. And she's term now, so I'm not worried about it being too early for her. As it is, she's barely coming early.
Of course I'm a bit nervous about it, being absolutely terrified of a c-section and knowing that sometimes inductions can result in that, but given that my body is already doing its thing, maybe they'll break my water and she'll just drop and then things will progress, with or without the pitocin. I've been induced 2 out of 3 times, so this isn't really new to me.
I am hoping that over the next week we'll progress even more. Starting tomorrow we're going to be walking every night (cannot tonight as we're picking up Libby's BFF at the airport), and maybe I can get hubby to DTD -- he's been very against that because he's so busy at work. LOL. I don't even know if that would work, but it's worth a shot.
Hopefully everything will go smoothly. I'm nervous, but very excited as well.

yay! you have a date! that's so great. I wouldn't be surprised if you go into labor before they get to induce you, babies tend to do that.

That is really my preference, that she comes on her own. I don't know if I can make it happen, but will try.
After this evening, it's game on. Then we're done with all the appointments, running around, and work will be ok. Plus I told everyone that my last day at work will be Tuesday, so it would just fit that she'd come early!
I did decide that I'm unpacking our bags tomorrow. Maybe if she thinks I'm not ready, she'll be more apt to make her appearance! I'm a tricky mom!
