A baby name website called Belly Ballot offered a $5,000 prize for baby-naming rights; the winner will let her baby's name be chosen with a public, online vote.

Wow!  Would you let someone else (a perfect stranger really!) name your baby for $5000?

If I got 5,000.. Yeah actually I might. I could always change the name later if I didn't like it. It's only like a $100 to make an official name change.. :)

You make a good point! I wonder if there is a clause in the contract about if/when you can change the name. It would be a fairly easy way to make $5000 if not!
