28 week 5 day appointment

I know this thought is random, but I feel so ahead of everyone else on this board. Anyway to my real post:

This has taken me a while to write since I was in the middle of moving last week, which I would advise everyone to avoid in their third trimester if possible. Anyway, the moving went well considering all I could do was clean and pack, no heavy lifting for me.

So, at my appointment I got my GD glucose test done, plus an ultrasound and my thyroid T4 test. My GD test came back normal and the lab some how lost my T4 test so that needs to be redone. My ultrasound shows that I still have complete placenta previa with the placenta attached in the back. So now I am preparing for a c-section in 8 weeks or less. My OB is going to do another ultrasound on the 26th to make sure the placenta does not want to move, even moving to a partial previa would move the date back to 39 weeks, which is the latest she would feel safe delivering me if I have even a low-lying placenta. So for now my c-section date, as long as I have no spotting, is November 2 just before 38 weeks. I was also put on the restrictions of lifting nothing over 10 lbs and no intercourse, so I have been taking it easy all weekend listening to music at Copper Mountain, CO.

Now for the complaining part: my MIL will be out of town the last week of October! She is not coming back until the 6th and did not even offer to change her plans! I know my mom will be there along with my DH, but that is it! No one else in DH's family will make an effort to visit me, because none of them even care that DH and I are having a child. My mom is the only immediate family that I have, so no one else to come from my side and is ending her visit with my grandmother early just the be here for the birth (it is more than a month long trip so cutting it short is no big deal). I know the only support I will really need is my DH and mom, but knowing others care would be helpful.

Thank you everyone for all the support. My MIL knows the exact date of the c-sections and does not feel she is really needed for the birth since my mom will be there. My DH is actually taking off a full week so he can help me, especially since the hospital requires a family member there with you the first 24 hours after a c-section to do take care everything but feeding the baby for you. They do have a well baby nursery she could go to, but they are more likely to give formula in there.

We do have the basics for the baby like the pack'n play (with newborn napper), changing pad, car seat, stroller, clothes, cloth diapers, boppy feeding pillow, rocking chair, humidifier, air purifier, etc. We will be getting the actual crib when she needs to move out of our room or we get a bigger room.
