Cloth diapering

I just wondered if any other first time moms were planning on trying cloth diapers. I had never really thought about it but it got brought up in my Feb group and I thought it was a great idea. I checked into some of the websites that promote cloth diapering and I think it's a lot easier than when I was a baby. My parents did the cloth diapers with the diaper pins that you had to fold and pin. I bought some diapers to start, but I'm going to need to buy a few more. I bought Kawaii pocket diapers and I plan to buy a few bumgenius and fuzzibunz. I want to get a variety so I can see what ones work better. I'm a big recycler at my house and make my husband's friends recycle their garbage when they are here, which is frequently! I think it's a great idea, but hopefully I still think that after trying it. I will probably have to do disposable at daycare, but you never know, some in home daycares are ok as long as you make it easy for them. Just wondered if anyone else had thought about this or was thinking of trying it.

We are cloth diapering, in fact I have a whole drawer full ready to go. We decided to do pockets, prefolds, and covers. I feel like an expert now so feel free to ask any questions. Since I am expecting a 6 lb baby so far we have Rumparooz, Thirsties Duo, Bummis Newborn covers, Bumgenius, Fuzzibunz, Softbums, Wahamies, Happy Hiney (old style so it is not OS), preemie prefolds, infant prefolds, snappis, more cloth wipes that one baby can use, bamboo inserts, a capri cover, fleece liners, and probably more that I forgot about. I know I will be getting more as my little girl grows since alot of these only go up to 18 lbs. I will tell you how I like each one once I start using them, although I can tell you right now I would be using the bumgenius for a while since it is sooooo much bigger than the others.
We are cloth diapering for the money savings, environmental impact, and for the reason that there are less chemicals. I found the cloth diapering board around here to be a little slow so I joined a cloth diapering board on a different site for my area and FB is really helpful too.
