Anyone else feeling awful? I'm about 6.5 weeks in and I feel terrible. I sleep about 14 hours between naps and bedtime, I don't want food, I feel tired and sick all the time! I'm working fulltime, and when I have time off I try to stay active and positive, but mannnn is it a struggle! I've tried toast, crackers, tea, ginger ale... my SO is going to pick up these Biobands that are supposed to aid with nausea by using pressure points... any feedback on those or suggestions for something else?

I took B6 and sniffed peppermint oil until dehydration became an issue around 13 weeks - I've ended up being one of those with hyperemesis gravidum, but I'm pretty fortunate to have discovered that vomex suppositories (not sure what name they're sold under in the US) actually stops most of the vomiting.

For some reason drinking exclusively with straws helps, too. Dr. Pepper and rootbeer on ice help with general nausea, but that probably depends on whether you're used to those drinks. ;-) Also, if your tummy is still torn up from frequent/violent vomiting, hot tea will feel much more soothing.

The best advice I got at the hospital, besides the vomex, was to test out different foods to see which ones stay down because it can be totally random. For a couple months, the one food I could consistently keep down was McDonalds hamburgers - and I've never even particularly cared for them! I also noticed certain foods were do-able only during certain trimesters. Some were complete no-goes: for some reason this baby hates grits and watermelon. This southern mom really misses those! :-)

Glad you're feeling better now. Interesting that watermelon is a no go. You would think it would be fine since it's not processed.

I am 6.5 weeks today and the nausea has hit pretty bad. I am trying to eat more frequent, small meals and eat protein. So far, that seems to help.
