This board has been pretty quiet recently because of the changes. How is everyone doing in their pregnancies? Any exciting news to share?

Yup...I am carrying a beautiful baby boy!  I feel like I had such a late start at getting attached.  The pregnancy was unplanned...we have only been dating for a year.  Then all the issues with the twin I lost.   Seeing him on the ultrasound has been amazing...but I think it was the moment I began to feel him move around that I fell totally in love with him and he became real.

It is quite amazing how much he has grown in the last 2 wks.  When all that stuff went down I wasn't feeling him very clearly...just a slight fluttering here and there. The ER nurses kept asking if I felt him move in the last 24 hrs.  I had a difficult time answering them because I wasn't very sure.   Now his movements are so pronounced.  I fall asleep at night to the wonderful feeling of him moving around....and as soon as his daddy's alarm goes off at 545am, he starts to stir and move again.  (BLASTED CHILD--Already showing signs of being a 'morning person')  :)

Letzgoracing- I'm glad you're still doing fine. I would be terrified if something like that happened. We do get so attached so quickly and so early on! I'm assuming you are team blue from your post or maybe I'm just making that assumption. Yay for making the 21 week mark. I'm glad to hear you're doing well.

I am doing ok physically....hit the 21 week mark.  I feel him move around and kick all the time and I love it!  He is my hyper lil' monkey :)  I am feeling better physically...not so sick.  I still tend to lose my cookies if something causes my gag reflex to kick in. (brushing my teeth, coughing, etc)  Even though I am feeling better physically I am starting to feel the limitations that are brought on by my growing belly.

Had a bit of a scare about 2 weeks ago.  I woke up to find my underwear and PJ bottoms covered in blood.  It scared the life out of me!!!  I rushed to the ER where they did an ultrasound to find a very active healthy boy floating around there.  (Probably wondering what all the commotion was about....wondering why mommy was upset and screaming)  I spent several hours at the ER then went to my own Doctor's office (for a 2nd ultrasound) only to be told that they have no idea what happen.  My cervix was closed...I had no recent trauma to my stomach.   The 'best guess' is that the placenta from the twin I lost (at 14 wks) may have started to separate and it caused some bleeding.

I will say that I did not realize how attached I was to my little guy until I woke up that morning and thought he was gone forever.  I felt like someone tore my soul from my body.   He has become my ENTIRE LIFE.

I am so glad the two of you are doing so well. The glucose test really is not that bad. I got the orange flavor and it tasted like an orange popcicle or orange gaterade. The only problem I had was I was sooooo thirsty by the end of the hour and my heart was racing from the sugar rush. The test I hated was the GBS test at 36 weeks. I hatte anyone poking around down there and with the increased blood flow everything hurts.

On my front, I am just waiting out the final two days before I go in for my c-section. My ligaments are really loose so I have pulled muscles when I was not careful, just a warning to everyone. I would say the last month is the worst since you feel so huge, waddle everywhere, and are just waiting for any sign of labor to come. The BH contractions also really kick in the last month.

it's been really tough with the changes here.  i still don't think i'm seeing much in the way of replies.  who knows how much i've been missing!!

i'm doing well.  29 weeks now and counting.  feeling big.  feeling less comfortable.  starting to think about meeting this little guy!  still having a healthy pregnancy, which is a constant relief!

the glucose test wasn't nearly as bad as i expected. i chose the lemon-lime and it tasted exactly like flat sprite.  not as syrupy as i'd expected at all.  passed the test with no issues.  good luck with yours!  i'm on the every two week appointment schedule now.  still feels so far away, though.  my work friend is due in just a couple weeks and she's super uncomfortable.  i'm not quite there yet, but i can tell it's getting closer!

I'm still doing great.  I had a few days where I was having a little heartburn, but haven't really had any problems since then.  My 24 week appointment went well and I have a very active LO.  Next appointment I get to do the fun glucose test, I'm not really looking forward to that.  I'm just so excited for you Katie that you get to meet your little girl soon!!!
