I'm late joining in on this, and you are so close to your EDD now!! How are you doing? What happened with your work situation?

I can totally relate to feeling like you have to prove yourself. I took a new teaching job in June (to start in August) and found out I was pregnant 10 days after I accepted the job. Things were fine in September/October, but then I had a pregnancy emergency and was placed on bedrest and was unable to work again until January. My teaching role has lots of coordination responsibilities, and I felt like I was letting everyone down. But my principal was fabulous, and let me do some of my work part time from home in order to salvage as many sick days as possible. I returned in January, and then was out again for 6 weeks on maternity leave. It was a wacky year!

Even now, over a year later, I feel like I'm having to prove to some of my co-workers that I work hard and that what happened last year was not the norm for me. It was medically necessary, and absolutely unavoidable. You should not feel guilty for missing work; pregnancy is hard!

Anyways, I hope you are doing well and I'm anxious to read a birth announcement on here soon!

Oh, my goodness. That sounds so frustrating! Is there a way you could talk to your boss? If nothing else, it might make you feel better to know that you explained the situation and
