Labor survival kit?

I discovered that they sell labor survival kits for cute gifts to give someone while they are pregnant. I'm sure most of this is things that you would pack already in your bag for the hospital. It listed things like a massage tool, hair bands and headbands, lotion, puzzle books, deck of cards, gum and breath drops etc. What things would you put in your labor survival kit? I'm sure after we have gone through it our lists would probably change, but it's neat that they think of such a thing.

Other than things I would already have packed in my hospital bag (like: deoderant, soap, shampoo and conditioner, lotion, hair stuff, pillow, extra clothes- for me, DH, and baby... plus, baby stuff).
I don't think I'll want to/have time to read anything, lol. Maybe a mixed CD and laptop (games and internet).
I have heard that extra clothes for DH, snacks for him, things for your to suck on like hard candy, and possibly movies or mp3 player are helpful. I would definatly bring him a sweatshirt and blanket since I hear you can get really hot during labor so you will want the room fairly cold.
hello!! i think this is cute that they sell a "labor survival kit." i made one for my sister and a friend of mine that i gave them at their baby showers. i actually was going to make another one but her baby arrived 7 weeks early and 4 weeks before her shower so i didnt. but what i put in mine was hair bands, hard candy, chapstick, slipper socks, and a paperback book. the idea of a puzzle book is good...maybe a stress ball to squeeze...but hair ties are a must. i had pretty short hair with my oldest and long hair with my youngest and both times-it got so tangled. and chapstick. after my first was born, my mom went out to buy clothes for her and i told her i needed some chapstick cuz my lips were so dry-they were swollen and bleeding. she brought me 3 tubes-lol-it never felt so good to put that stuff on!! i would also bring a battery charger and/or change of batteries for the camera...and your phone charger. and comfy pajamas you can wear for after the baby is born...i couldnt wait to get out of those hospital gowns and into my stuff!!

The one thing I put in my bag from the list that I actually used was chapstick. Your whole mouth will get very dry, so this helps.
