hi to everyone.my daughter is a year old.she tries to grab everything and play with things like phones and remote controls.should i let her play or make her understand?whenever she is happy she starts screaming loudly.how should i make her undersatnd.someone told me that if u will try to stop her it will affect her confidence badly.i am completely confused.plz help.

I feel your pain ~ lol. You shouldn't just grab things from her as she's playing with them, but you can distract her with something else in order to take the remote or whatever from her. Jared is actually an expert with the remote and we let him play with ours. You just have to decide what's a safety hazard versus inconvenience.

I think it really depends on the item. We let Taylor play with the remote, but not the corded phone (don't want her to strangle) or the indoor shutters (really expensive & don't want her to break). Of course there is the lazy susan she got into and broke a jar, but luckily she only got one little cut.

My child is a drama queen so if you try telling her no, she'll say no back and then lay her head against something and scream. I personally find it a hysterical show (I just don't let her see my amusement). I mainly try to distract her with something else after telling her no to the thing she can't have.
