Sciatic Nerve Pain?

Has anyone else experienced sciatic nerve pain at 9-10 weeks?  I'm at the 11 week mark now and it's only getting worse/more frequent.  Thankfully no numbness or tingling down my leg, but my right hip hurts like H-E-double hockey sticks!!!  I'm going to ask my doctor about it at my appointment on Tuesday.  Any suggestions for relief until then are most welcome!

I never experienced it but I'm sure it's possible that you're having it. I would definitely talk to your doctor about it. You could try massage therapy or muscle rub ointment for now. I know the chiropractor can help but I have mixed opinions on having someone manipulate my spine. Fx'd that you feel better soon!

Thank you, Dina!  If I do go the chiropracter route, I'll see who my doctor recommends and get opinions from some of the other ladies here in ABQ to see what their experiences were like - I tend to be cautious with chiropracter's as well. :-)  I tried my go-to pain fixer - Arnica gel - but that apparently does not work on nerves, just muscles.  Just 2 more days until my appointment!  I'm very excited, although I hate writing out lesson plans for a substitute. ;-)

i have back and neck problems anyway, but i did have some sciatic pain around that time. definitely not pleasant! stretching, massage, and chiropractic help are all good options. hope you find a solution and it goes away quickly!

Thanks, Diane!

My doctor said that stretching was pretty much it.  I have slight dysplasia in that hip, so I may be stuck with it the whole time.  I'm finding that if I move carefully and try not to sit on the floor with my students at school, I do ok.
