Hi ladies,

I was wondering what you all are using to prevent them? I had a huge growth spurt when I was 13, over 10 years ago. They have faded and are barely noticable when I tan. But its taken 10!!! Years for them to look this good. I don't want more that I have to wait another 10 years for them to go away, KWIM?

Hi there,

I can certainly understand why you want to stay away from stretch marks at all costs. Unfortunately, from most of what I've read, stretch marks are highly genetic and there is little you can do to prevent them. That being said, I know that there are a lot of ladies that swear by Palmer's Cocoa Butter and slather their bellies with it religiously. I used it with my last pregnancy and didn't get any stretch marks (however I had some from prior pregnancies). I figured it couldn't hurt- and at least my itchy belly found some relief with the moisture from the lotion.

Best of luck to you! Hopefully some of the ladies here will have some more advice to share with you. :)
