Today was so busy! I went to a family gathering around 3:30 after welcoming my IL's back from Myrtle Beach. We just not got back at around 11:30. It was wonderful. My DH's Johnson side of the family is just so wonderful. Have you ever known someone that is just genuinely nice? Thats how they all are. They're so optimistic and sweet. My Aunt Chris took Ani for an hour and got her to sleep while me and my husband played wiffle ball in the yard. It was so great to have a small break! I love Ani to death, but we haven't had much of a break from her for the past 5 months of her life. And when we do it's like we worry the whole time. But she was so great with my Aunt. AND everyone else for that matter. My Aunt also offered to babysit at anytime! She was so nurturing to Ani, it was so sweet. My MIL doesn't have many maternal instincts so she doesn't offer to babysit often and Ani doesn't often chill out, she'll cry the whole time. What I mean by lack of maternal instinct is she just freaks out when she starts to cry, just looks clueless and awkward with her. I was hesitant about putting Ani through daycare anytime soon because of how she cries constantly, but today I really think we've turned over a new leaf. And it really excites me! Also, sometimes I feel like I love Ani so incredibly much, that I couldn't possibly love her anymore. Then days like today, she was just so sweet and I prove myself wrong.

Sorry for it being so long. I just feel great about how things went today! I hope everyone else is having a great weekend as well!

What a nice weekend to have had... Mine wasn't so great. My DH hurt his back and we had to visit family in the hospital.

My MIL isn't very maternal either... I don't plan on having her watch the baby too often when she is born. She's just not very loving and has even admitted to not liking infants.

Who could not like infants. I say give them to me at any age. I'm happey either way. Of course any child I have ever been around I got to send home. Now I'm going to have one of my own and I think I'll love having her even more than any other child. That's just the person I am.

I'm glad you get along so well with all of your IL's, that's very important.

lol Catherine, that sounds great! My MIL just got back from SC and had bought Ani tons of stuff! She freaked out when she showed her this little green bee with all this stuff attached to his hands. I love shopping for her as well, it's even nicer when someone else is paying as well ;) lol. You little toy addict! lol I'm glad your weekend went well too. Do I really have to go back to work tomorrow?

Glad you had such a peaceful weekend :)

My weekend was good, but nothing special really. I think my high-light was picking out a few toys for my DS from the store for my BIL to buy, LOL! I swear I get more joy in buying for DS then anything else by far. It's funny, my B-Day is coming up and I told everybody to give me a gift certificate to Toys R Us, tehehe....I'm a toy addict, LOL;)
