What do you miss the most since you've been pregnant?

Without a doubt - WINE!! We are big wine buffs and our wine shipments keep coming in from our wine clubs...I'm been the designated driver for 2 wine tasting excursions and we just attended a holiday wine tasting party! Every time we go out with friends - wine seems to be the centerpiece of the evening...especially throughout the holidays. I've had a few sips here and there, but oh to have a couple of fabulous glasses of wine sounds like heaven!! I miss my wine! I know it's all worth it - but that's the hardest for me to go without.

Hi Leslie,

I can see how that would be difficult to give up, especially this time of year! I hope you were able to find an acceptable substitute over the holiday. :)

Coffee was a big one for me! I started making decaf because I craved the taste so much. It is all worth it in the end though. ;)

Ok, I'm a first timer and I still have tons to learn. I realize I can't have alcohol (wine is what I'm missing most right now too!), and coffee. But whats this about cold cut sandwhiches?

Hi there,

It is often recommended that expecting women avoid eating deli meats that are not thoroughly cooked due to the risk of listeriosis.

I miss feeling like myself and NOT being sick. I've been nauseous and exhausted since the week after Christmas. Uggghh! I'm dragging every morning. I used to be a wine drinker but now even the thought or smell of wine or any type of alcohol makes me want to puke. ::sigh:: I'm definitely looking forward to the 2nd trimester. :)

UGH! Nauseua during the first trimester can be tough for sure. Hang in there, mama! Hopefully the second trimester will bring you some much needed relief.

That's a tough one, its a tie between my morning coffee and wine!

While it would be nice to have coffee now and then, I am too busy enjoying being able to eat good food for the first time in a while!! ( I was dieting for months to fit into my wedding dress up until the pregnancy.) Of course, I'm still very early on, so I'm sure there will be more to complain about later. :)

I am blogging about my experience getting pregnant for the first time in my mid-thirties:
