My baby girl Violet was born on 6/28 via c section due to preeclampsia and help syndrome. Violet was born at 36 weeks and a peanut at 5 lbs 15 oz and 18.5 inches long. She is an amazing baby- only cries to eat and our son is just so in love with her! We are so blessed.

Welcome to the world Violet! So sorry pre-e/HELLP found you. We also evicted baby at 36 weeks.

I hope you are recovering well and haven't had any PP Pre-e issues- we're still battling our BP almost 3 weeks later :/

I only lurked here to keep tabs on the fellow high risk mommas, so I never posted our birth story. Like you, pre-e 25 weeks, medicated, bed rest and then everything just started falling apart, GD, PTL, polyhydramnois, you name it so we were done and wound up abrupting during delivery, so very scary. As much as I wanted to see full term, I wanted our lil' one to make it here safely more! She spent 4 days in the NICU, but now we're all home. Like you our eldest daughter passed away. Having another daughter is bittersweet, and like your son, ours is just in love with her. She looks a lot like her big sister- it's been some very bittersweet days- such is the life of angel mommas!

I was keeping you in my thoughts and very thankful you made it all the way to 36 weeks too! Did you wind up at Tufts? We have a friend that works there. :smileyhappy:

Wishing your family all the best!

I did get admitted at tufts but signed out ama after 8 days. I delivered at my hospital! I'm so sorry for the loss of.your daughter. Is that something you want/would like to share? Or talk off here? Having a second chance at having a baby girl is a complete blessing. 4 days in the NICU isn't horrible but I bet you were so glad to come home. What is your new.lil ones name? How big was she?? Very happy for you!

Sorry you had an inpatient stint, we did too... so not fun! Her NICU stay was managable, especially knowing how long and terrible stays can be- still a total Mom Fail moment since she was only there since my body gave out on her. Did your lil' one escape the NICU... I hope! What a cute lil' peanut at just shy of 6lbs! Our lil' girl was 6lbs 3oz. :smileyhappy:

I'm iVillage disabled and can't figure out how to PM ya- PM me if ya can. :smileyhappy:
